We do not recommend overstaying a Vietnam visa. Although the official fine should be in the region of $10 - $25 per day this is often not the case. There are numerous rumour flying around the internet, some say you are fine for up to 48 hours overstay. Others say the fines are so small that it is not worth the worry; others suggest that the fines are astronomical. There is one thing for certain though, you'd be making yourself a prime target for a potential scam. Visa extensions are cheap and so simple to arrange, why take the risk?

In many cases, foreigners living in Vietnam do not pay attention to their own visa validity until the leaving days. What should you do to leave Vietnam then?

If your visa has been expired more than three days, you should immediately contact us via email vietnamvisabooking@gmail.com for arranging your visa extension. In this case, you are requested to pay two types of fee: fine fee, and extension fee.

It should be noted for those who overstay in Vietnam for long time (one month upward) that the Vietnam Immigration Department may need to track your legal activity record of your staying period in Vietnam. In the event that you committed any crime or illegal action, the case would be much more complicated.

To avoid any trouble while living and exit Vietnam, foreigners are advised to pay due attention to your visa validity.
