I need a 1 month multiple visa (tourism)

My flight is not direct from Italy to Vietnam but I'm doing Rome -> Dubai -> Ho Chi Minh with Emirates airlines

Are there any differences or particular problems?

I read online that sometimes some people was not allowed to take the plane to Vietnam because they didn't had a correct letter... Is it true?
