I am a Canadian citizen and living in Vancouver BC. I am planning to travel in Asia. During my visit in China, I will go on a cruise trip in Sanya and the cruise will take me to one of Vietnamese ports for a day. What kind of visa application procedure can I follow? Can I apply visa online? Does the Visa on arrival work for my situation?
Please advise.

Visa-on-arrival works for air travel only, so you need to get your visa beforehand in order to arrive Vietnam by cruise. You can either apply for your visa at Vietnamese Embassy in Canada or China below:
