I am German citizen will work at the company in Hanoi for 2 months and 10 days, from December 2012 to February 2013. Could you please tell me whether it is possible for me to enter the country with a visa on arrival, or do I need a different type of visa?
Do I have to send my passport to the Vietnamese Embassy in Berlin in order to get a visa?
When does the validity of my visa start?

You can apply for 3 month single or multiple visa on arrival. There is no 2 months visa period type available.
If you enter Vietnam by air plane, you can apply for Vietnam visa on arrival otherwise if you travel Vietnam by land or cruise ship, you are pleased to get the Vietnam visa at embassy.
