1. Approval letter is required

Unlike many other countries, the Vietnam Immigration Department regulated that all the visitors wishing to get Vietnam visa on arrival must be qualified by their approval letter (except the Vietnam visa exempted citizenship). The approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department under the submission of a Vietnam visa agency on behalf of the visitors

2. Visa on arrival is applicable for air entry only

Despite of its convenience, Vietnam visa on arrival is applicable to those travelling Vietnam by air only. So if you enter by land or sea then you should contact with the Vietnam Embassy in your country to apply for a visa prior to arriving in Vietnam

3. The data must be verified

When you submit a visa application, you should verify the data you entered carefully. If there is a spelling error or you enter a wrong date of entry then you are likely to re-apply the visa and subject to paying twice.

4. Check your visa validity frequently

Some people don't have well plan of staying in Vietnam and they have just noticed that their Vietnam visa has been expired. In this case, you should contact with the Vietnam visa agency as soon as possible to pay the fine fee and extend your visa.

5. Keep your eyes on your passport

Passport and visa, as commonly known is among the most important things to keep along with wherever you go. Like other countries, Vietnam authorities may consider a serious problem once finding out you without passport. Thus, foreigners are advised to immediately contact the Local Police Department to report the incident. Then contact with your country's Embassy in Vietnam to renew your passport and contact with a visa agency or the Vietnam Immigration Department to arrange your exit visa.
