Vietnam visa for French passports

Visa is required for citizens of France to visit Vietnam. French nationals may have 2 options: Visit Vietnam embassy in France or apply for a Vietnam visa on arrival from France. French citizens may apply for both tourist visa and business visa to Vietnam for the stay of 1 to 3 months. Please check this link for Vietnam visa fee for French citizens.

UPDATE: From 1 July 2016 to 30 July 2018 the French citizens are entitled for 15-day visa exemption under the Decision No. 56/NQ-CP of the Vietnamese Government dated June 30.

Conditions to get 15 days visa exemption are as follows:
- The passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival;
- Their stay in Vietnam is less than 15 days (must show onward air ticket);
- The gap 30 days between two visa-free visits is required.

From France, visitors can apply for a Vietnam visa through one of the embassy of Vietnam in France below or apply for a Vietnam visa on arrival and pickup visa at arrival airport in Vietnam.
