Vietnam visa for US citizens

Pursuant to the current provisions of the Vietnam immigration policy, all the United States citizens will need a visa to enter Vietnam for tourist and business purposes. At present, the United States passports have 3 options to apply for Vietnam visa: (i) visit the Vietnam embassy in United States (Washington or San Francisco) or (ii) apply for Vietnam e-visa (electronic visa) or (iii) apply for a Vietnam visa on arrival. United States citizens now can apply for both tourist visa and business visa to stay in Vietnam from 1 month, 3 months.

For those who stay far from the Vietnam Embassy or Consulates, there is another simple and secured option to get a Vietnam e-visa at the airports, border gates on land or seaports; or get a Vietnam visa on arrival at the International Airports in Vietnam (including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hai Phong, Van Don and Phu Quoc). As same as the visa issued by the Vietnam Embassy or Consulates, an e-visa can be valid for 1 month and a visa on arrival can be valid from 1 month (tourist visa), 3 months (business visa).
